Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournaments are wholesome, family-oriented events. The 2026 Gus Macker Tournament, hosted here in Iron Mountain, will be a huge value to sponsors and great entertainment to spectators!

Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball is the one-and-only original game that has evolved as the hottest mass participation sport today! On August 15-16, Gus Macker Basketball Tournament games will be played in Iron Mountain! We need YOU to help make the 2026 Gus Macker Tournament a great, one-of-a-kind basketball experience for everyone! GUS MACKER IM will feature—Friday night, August 14: team registrations, Photos With Gus, Basketball Skills Contest; and Saturday Challenges: Free Throws, 3-Point Shooting, and Slam Dunk.

The Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament was originated in 1974 by Scott McNeal (alias Gus Macker) on his parents’ driveway basketball court in Lowell, Michigan. It started with 18 friends playing competitively. Scott McNeal proudly announced the mindset is THINK BIG, and everyone is fired up for 3-on-3 Gus Macker Basketball Tournaments in 2026. The wonderful community of Iron Mountain and the surrounding area showed us last year that Gus Macker is back in Iron Mountain for many years! So many businesses and organizations contributed to the success of Mackerville, IM. Last year, the Iron Mountain Gus Macker BB Tournament recorded 125 SPONSORS!
